At Canvey I am completing a 75-foot long mural in 15 panels “A History of Mural Painting” which is a celebration of my love of art. It has taken 440 hours so far. I have also completed 15no. ‘bench murals’ which are 6ft x 4ft memorial pictures of various designs and styles. Green Bus featured on front cover of an international magazine (Archives and Records Association) December 2017.
The hospital murals are for children and dementia patients.
I am working on some canvas paintings involving narrow detailed panoramic landscape drawings set in large ‘sky paintings’.
Some artists have told me of their lack of interest in their finished work as they are excited about the current and future projects .This may explain why much of my work has been destroyed, lost, given away or painted over because I don’t’ value’ them.
I have designed a mural for the interior of a 2-storey round 10m diameter building with mezzanine floor called ‘The Lighthouse’. It is a children’s development centre. I am in discussions with the Health Authority about raising funding, etc. but in the meantime I want to produce a CGI ‘virtual reality’ view to feature on my website.
